Focus Group Insights: Voices from the Ground

As part of the Healing Digital Wounds (HDW) project, three partner organizations—based in France, the Netherlands, and Croatia—conducted in-depth focus groups with young people and youth workers. These sessions provided valuable insights into the digital lives of today’s youth, their challenges, and their coping strategies in an increasingly connected world.

The discussions focused on experiences with digital wounds such as cyberbullying, online pressure, digital addiction, and identity struggles. Each focus group explored how young people navigate these issues, and how youth workers can best support them in building digital resilience and emotional well-being.

Below, you will find three individual reports that reflect the unique cultural, social, and digital landscapes of each country. Together, they form the foundation for the development of two key outputs of the HDW project:

  • The Digital Guardian Pocket Guide

  • The Mindful Tech Platform

These reports highlight common themes across borders, as well as local nuances that will inform tailored strategies for empowering youth in the digital age.
